Fortnite has begun teasing its next highly-anticipated return season, and this year the focus will be on the game’s Chapter 2 era.
As we all know, promotional items highlighting Chapter 2 Remix have started arriving for content creators (thank you, China) – From these we can get an idea of what will be on offer.
As you might expect, Chapter Two is the era of Fortnite’s second map. Over the course of eight seasons, the game has experienced its strongest creative riffs and narrative moments yet, as it introduced a fan-favorite spy organization, flooded the map, and ushered in the first Marvel character The season at the center was invaded by aliens and introduced The Rock as a key figure in Fortnite lore.
At least some of this will be repeated in the Chapter 2 remix, which will see the return of spymaster Midas, his pale cat lieutenant Meowstress, and the rest of the gang.
Badges highlighting Chapter 2 Remix products include new remixes from Midas/Meowscles, as well as slurps Rippley and TNTina. Loot sharks (which you can fight or ride on with a fishing rod), boogie bombs, and a building in Misty Meadows are also featured.

The expectation from Fortnite fans (driven by the leak of the full development roadmap earlier this year) was that Chapter 2 Remix would focus on the first half of the chapter. The return of Chapter 2 is expected to be confirmed first, before Midas and crew appear in the new map update, before his antics cause the map to become flooded. Exactly how and why we return to Chapter 2 remains to be seen, though.
Epic Games is certainly keen to capitalize on the huge popularity of Fortnite’s original OG season late last year, which had players returning to the game’s first map within a month. The return is part of a carefully crafted series of events that has led to the launch of multiple new Fortnite modes, including LEGO Fortnite, and culminating in the arrival of the current fifth main battleground island. What might happen this time?
Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix is expected to kick off in early November at the end of the game’s current Halloween-filled Marvel season.
