Now People Are Livestreaming Nintendo's Mysterious Switch Online Game Test

But, people being people, they did. It started last week when some participants shared screenshots of documents sent to project participants on social media. The images tell the story of a Minecraft game that sounds almost like an MMO, featuring a blocky world.

And now, people are once again ignoring Nintendo’s request to keep playtests secret and are streaming playtests live. Users on Reddit have linked to the test stream and reconfirmed that the game has Minecraft-style building elements. “Minecraft + WoW + Nintendo Mii game, but very simple for now (because) this is just a test,” one user described it.

“It looks part Minecraft-like, part shared social hub(?) with a persistent world supporting a lot of another added. One player said the “vibe” of the playtest was “perfect” from what they saw.

The Nintendo Switch online gaming test started earlier today and is expected to last just under two weeks, ending on November 6th.
